Across the country, immigrant families face numerous language, legal and social barriers to economic success.
In the D.C. metro region, one nonprofit organization is determined to address these barriers and foster a community in which anyone can succeed and thrive regardless of immigrant status. Ayuda provides direct legal, language and social services, as well as outreach and training for immigrants and their families living in the tri-state area.
Since opening its doors in 1973, the demand for Ayuda’s services has grown significantly. The Hatcher Group is partnering with Ayuda to help the organization expand its reach to funders, policymakers and the media in order to meet the growing needs of its clients. The Hatcher Group developed a digital fundraising strategy for Ayuda, provided traditional and social media training for Ayuda staff, helped to promote the organization’s annual gala and other events, and created a PSA warning against fraudulent immigrant service providers.

Through our work with Ayuda, we aim to increase funding for the organization, garner media attention for Ayuda’s work and reach new potential partners, all with the ultimate goal of expanding vital services for immigrant families in the D.C. metro region.
