The Wallace Foundation relies on Hatcher as a thought partner in the planning and execution of all its major communications activities. Our partnership has grown significantly over the years with a full suite of creative strategies, tactics, and collateral to convey the impact of The Wallace Foundation’s grantmaking. We provide strategic counsel to the foundation’s communications team; offer technical assistance to grantee organizations; develop dissemination plans for new foundation resources; conduct media outreach; prepare materials for board presentations; host webinars and other events; produce videos and podcasts; craft organic social media content; oversee paid advertising campaigns; write blog posts; and more.
To build visibility of The Wallace Foundation’s important work, Hatcher develops targeted media lists, writes press releases, and pitches top reporters. We’ve secured media coverage for the foundation in major national and trade publications, such as The New York Times, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and NPR, as well as coverage in education-focused trade publications, such as Chalkbeat, Education Week, and The Hechinger Report.
Hatcher produced and distributed a five-episode podcast series that shared the experiences of practitioners in schools and out-of-school programs working together to help children develop social and emotional learning skills.
Hatcher produced and distributed a seven-part blog and video series for the foundation, profiling the University of Connecticut’s efforts to strengthen its principal training program.
