Hatcher Gives Back to the Anacostia

In late May, Hatcher Group staffers planted rain gardens and picked weeds together at First United Methodist Church of Hyattsville, Md., a project site of the Anacostia Watershed Society, to learn firsthand about storm water management practices that help clean up the Anacostia River.

The Hatcher Group is proud to support our environmental clients as they work to improve our nation’s waterways. During ourvolunteer day, we learned about the great work the Anacostia Watershed Society is doing with local partners to make the river swimmable and fishable by 2025. AWS staff gave Hatcher Group staff a guided tour of the river via pontoon boat, where we were lucky to see great blue herons, eagles, Canada geese and other wildlife.
