Rachel Abastillas has more than 7 years of digital marketing and communications experience with a focus on brand strategy and organic and paid media campaigns related to national resilience, luxury lifestyle, and consumer packaged goods.
Rachel previously was a Senior Strategist at Merrick Towle Creative where she built out a robust nano-to-macro influencer program, spearheaded various social media playbook campaigns, and crafted authentic brand narratives.
She also worked as a Research Assistant at the Global Resilience Institute, in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense, to produce reports and briefings related to the resiliency of U.S. critical infrastructure. She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Her minors in Political Science, Law and Public Policy, and Social Entrepreneurship led her to pursue opportunities examining North African immigration to France, gender equality and education in Morocco, and microfinance institutions in India.
